Spring Checklist
Spring cleaning get’s all the attention this time of year, but Spring Maintenance is just as important if not more important. Get your home in shape with our Free Spring Checklist.
- Spring clean your garden by removing or trimming back trees and shrubs. If there was any debris from the winter time that you haven’t had a chance to tidy up, now is the perfect time.
- Inspect gates, railings, windowsills and steps. Check the wood around your home for rot that took hold during the winter months. If boards become soft, or even splinter they can become an unsafe situation.
- Remove unwanted moss/mould with water blasting. Use it to clean your tile patio, wooden deck or concrete driveway. It’s the most effective tool in the removal of built up dirt and debris. You’ll notice an immediate change in appearance.
- Inspect gutters and downpipes. Gutters and downpipes are used to direct water away from your home’s foundation. If they’re full of debris they can’t correctly do this and could result in costly repairs.
- Inspect your doors and windows. During the winter months you may not have noticed a door or window that sticks, but now that you’ll hopefully be opening them more with the warmer weather, you might start to notice issues.
- Add space in your garage or home by installing additional storage. After spring cleaning your home you may notice you need additional storage. There’s plenty of options available from kit sets to a simple custom job.
- Double check your letterbox. Letterboxes can show wear after enduring weather year after year. Consider maintaining it with a fresh coat of paint or re-securing it so it continues to last.
- Refresh your deck. Sanding, staining and sealing your wooden deck ensures this outdoor space is protected and looks great for the entertaining season. You might even find you want alterations done so it can fit the whole party.
- Fix up any damages to interior walls. With everyone being crowded inside during the cooler months, there may be damage to interior walls. Take the time now while people are able to get outside, to do any interior work.
- Find and fix leaks in your weatherboards. Over time boards can become water damaged and need to be replaced.
Fix’d can take any of these tasks off your to-do list. That way, you have more time to enjoy the lovely spring weather. One call really does take care of everything on your to-do list.
